DDE announces its’ Fourth and Fifth Job Fairs on 3rd & 4th September 2022 at Bangalore and on 11th September 2022 at Tiruchirapalli. Placement Cell DDE Placement Cell is one of its kinds in the country, pioneering with new initiatives for the career enhancement of the distance learners. Given the present situation, where online, distance and open learning have become the order of the day, the country is looking up on to the Distance Learning Institutions for the supply of Quality Human Resources. DDE, well understanding the situation, has established an exclusive placement cell for the distance students. The focal points of the Placement Cell are as below:

• Career Guidance/ Counseling in person, or through telephone or Email
• Conducting Job Fairs
• Conducting Career Guidance Webinar/ Workshops

Based on the UGC regulations, Directorate of Distance Education, Pondicherry University is the First in India to conduct Job Fairs to the Distance learners. During 2019, two Job Fairs were conducted at the Pondicherry University Campus. It is proposed to conduct Job Fairs in various Cities in the country for the benefit of the students from various states. Further, DDE also conducts webinars/ workshops on Communication skills, Interview skills and Resume Building skills to increase the student’s efficiency and employability.
